Spring House Hotel

Block Island is beautiful in the winter. While nearly everything is closed, the tranquility of a quiet island off-season is sublime. Disconnect with a hardcover book, bundle up for a brisk walk, or enjoy a warm drink while watching the light snowfall. We were able to do all this from the Inn, the Spring House's year-round lodging option.

We dined here in August with a large group- 5 adults and 5 kids ages 9 to 17. We were initially seated outside and it got chilly. Our server, whose name I unfortunately have forgotten brought us all large towels to bundle up while we had cocktails and enjoyed the view while the sun went down. Despite the restaurant being fairly busy, she secured 2 tables inside for us after the sunset where we ate apps and dinner... and had more cocktails and some nice wine. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. I have seen some negative reviews about the service but have never experienced that at The Spring House as a diner or as a hotel guest during past visits to BI. The location and view are the best on Block! PS- Manager Frankie always takes the best care of us!

Great location, wonderful staff, and absolutely stunning views. Especially when enjoying drinks out on the lawn in the summer and fall. My sister had her wedding at The Spring House, and the entire experience was beautiful from start to finish. I’ve been coming here for years, and it remains one of my favorite spots on the island to relax with a drink and take in the scenery. I would, without a doubt, highly recommend it!

Our wedding at the Spring House Hotel was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Every detail came together exactly as we had envisioned, and that’s entirely thanks to the incredible team, especially Molly, our wedding coordinator. From the first meeting, Molly was organized, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our day seamless. She made me feel completely reassured leading up to and on the wedding day…everything went off without a hitch. The venue itself is gorgeous. If you envision an elegant, coastal, classy wedding then this is the venue. The staff went above and beyond to make our vision come to life, even accommodating unique requests like trays of mini espresso martinis passed out as guests headed to the dance floor and custom late-night food options not typically on the menu. Every detail was handled beautifully. We had a tight timeline because we wanted to maximize dancing time, and they made it work flawlessly. Christian and the bar team were phenomenal…efficient, friendly, and ensured that no one ever had to wait in line for a drink. It was everything we hoped for and more. The Spring House Hotel truly exceeded every expectation, and we are endlessly grateful to Molly and the entire team for giving us the most magical wedding day imaginable.

Amazing!! The Inn at Spring House has become our new happy place for our summer weekend vacation! We only go on one short vacation a year, and Spring House has been our spot for a few years, and will be for a long time! The place is beautiful, the staff is awesome! Sacha, Adolfo and Fitz remember us when we arrive and makes the whole experience even more special! Sitting on the lawn at night listening to the live music is a perfect way to end the day! Can't wait for our 2026 visit!

We sail to Block Island every summer and make several trips to The Spring House while we are there. Whether it's for cocktails on the porch, or an exquisite dinner, we have always had great experiences. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. We've also come to BI Thanksgiving dinner at the Spring House Barn. A way to spend the holiday weekend: the shops are open for Christmas stroll, 5K on Saturday. Check it out. You won't be disappointed, whenever you decide to come.

Our favorite place to stay and visit on Block Island! We were married here in 2019 and everything was perfect, now we come back many times every year. Drinks on the veranda or Victoria’s parlor, dinner on the back patio, relaxing in the Adirondack chairs… it’s all the best! Can’t wait to do it all again next Summer.

We have been going to spring house for years. You can not beat the view, the service, the ambience and their beautiful wrap around deck and bar. We are actually staying at The Inn at Spring House for Thanksgiving day til Saturday. Which is something we've always wanted to do and never have. The Barn restaurant is a fantastic place for great food and is located behind the main building. We highly recommend Spring House Hotel
